How Maximus decides
Maximus researches a product, checks what it actually costs where you live, and commits to one of three answers. This is what sits behind that answer.
Three verdicts, nothing else
Every product gets BUY, WAIT or PASS. There is no score out of ten and no star rating, because a number invites you to compare two things that were researched on different days against different retailers.
Prices are per country
A verdict is only ever about one country. The same camera can be a BUY in the United States and a WAIT in Spain in the same hour, so each market gets its own research, its own retailers and its own price history.
WAIT has to name a reason
A WAIT is only issued when there is something specific to wait for: a confirmed successor within the next 150 days, a price clearly above the recent typical price, a known sale window, or launch-premium pricing. Vague caution is not a verdict.
We never invent a price
If we could not read a price or a stock line, we say so. An unreadable stock line is reported as unconfirmed — never as sold out — and thin evidence produces a PASS rather than a confident-sounding guess.
